It's march and march means a lot of grey days, a lot of rain and a lot of clouds - at least if you're living in Germany or somewhere around. The good thing about it: spring is lying ahead of us! Which means longer days, colorful blossoms and sun rays on your skin!
But today, it was still one of these grey days and I can't wait for spring anymore! So to brighten up this cloudy sky, I've put some color on the greyscale. To the sound of raindrops on my window, it was an even bigger pleasure to dream myself back to this colorful little town near Venice where you can find rainbows everywhere.
Even though Venice itself is a very special place, Burano is worth a visit! After 45 minutes by Vaporetto, you'll enter onto this island which is like a candy land! Every house over here is painted in a different color and if you're a local and you would like to repaint it, it's actually the government which decides on the color... so, this tradition seems like serious business! :D An ancient legend says that the island's fishermen painted their houses in bright colors, so they could see them while they were out fishing.
